INTEGRATIVE NEUROPHYSIOLOGY GROUP

Amira del Rayo Flores received her degree in Psychology from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Later, she obtained her Masters in Science in Physiological Sciences from the Institute of Physiology at the same university, and her Ph. D. degree in neuroscience from CINVESTAV-IPN, México, in 1999.

Since 2000, she has been with the Institute of Physiology, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, México, where she is an Interdisciplinary Research Scientist and Head of the Neurobiology Laboratory. Her areas of interest include synaptic transmission between hair cells and vestibular primary afferents, neuro development of the chicken auditory system, stochastic resonance mechanisms in synaptic transmission and integrative neurophysiology.

Dra. Flores is member of the National System of Researchers Level 2.
